General Membership Rules & Policies

1. Membership is limited to family members residing full-time at the address listed on the membership form.

2. The Pool and Clubhouse are PRIVATE PROPERTY, restricted to members and their guests (See "Guest Rules")."

3. All members and guests (this also includes party guests) must sign in at the gate desk and pay required use fee. (See "Guest Rules").

4. During life guarded hours, children eleven (11) years and under are to be supervised by an adult member, an adult guest, or have specific permission of the lifeguard whose decision is absolutely discretionary and final.

5. Persons using inappropriate or offensive language or behavior will, at the discretion of any member of the Board of Directors, or lifeguard, be asked to leave the pool property.

6. Members may use outdoor club facilities (BBQ/Picnic area) for family parties provided:
a. Written request must be submitted to Hospitality Manager 2 weeks in advance
b. No other club members are denied access to these facilities;
c. Party must be completed and property cleaned and vacated by 9:00 PM;
d. Sponsoring Member is present throughout the entire event;
e. All party trash (including gift wrapping, gift boxes, etc.) must be removed from the property or deposited in appropriate bins. Otherwise cleaning/security deposit will be forfeited.

7. Each member is responsible for his/her guest's safety and behavior. The "buddy" system is required when swimming during non life guarded swim hours. NO ONE UNDER 18 MAY USE THE POOL WITHOUT A PARENT OR GUARDIAN PRESENT, except children 12-17 during life guarded swim hours with written permission of parent or guardian.

8. Cloverdale Cabana Club is a private swim club located on private property, and requires prepaid annual membership dues to participate. Club membership is available to all persons regardless of race, religion, color, sexual orientation, or national origin provided they keep and respect the Rules and Policies of the Club and pay posted Membership Fees for the season of membership.

9. Please be respectful of our neighbors.

a. Parking: Do not block access to driveways, fire hydrants, sidewalks, etc. Violators may be cited and/or towed at the owner's expense.
b. Amplified/Sound/Music: The volume of amplified sound (music) must be kept for your enjoyment only. Any request by a neighboring resident of Cloverdale Cabana to "turn down" or "turn off" the music or amplified sound must be complied with immediately. Any response by law enforcement may result in the immediate termination of your event and/or membership.

Health & Safety Rules and Regulations

1. All swimmers must rinse dirt, grass, sticky hands before entering the pool.

2. Persons with infections or communicable diseases may not use the pool.

3. Hair long enough to be in a ponytail must be braided, tied up, or contained in a swim cap. This will be strictly enforced and includes both male and female swimmers.

4. Children of diaper age must wear swim diapers in the pool AT ALL TIMES and must be changed hourly (to prevent pool equipment damage). Disposable and cloth diapers will not be allowed.

5. Fifteen (15) minute rest periods will be called each hour during guarded swim. Only adults, and children 24 months or younger accompanied by an adult, and lifeguards are allowed in the pool during this time.

6. Members are responsible to supervise their minor children at all times, and particularly during non-guarded swim times, The "Buddy" system is required for use at the pool during non life guarded swim.

7. Swim fins, skirt toys, flotation devices, facemasks and/or snorkels may be restricted during peak hours. Swim noodles in good condition and beach balls may be used at the discretion of the lifeguard. No boogie boards or swim skate boards are allowed.

8. Excessive noise of any kind is strictly prohibited.

9. The use of oil-based suntan lotions is prohibited.

10. NO Food or Drinks of any kind are allowed within 5 feet of the pool. NO GLASS or breakable containers are permitted on the cement deck. This includes food and beverage containers.

11. NO PETS are allowed on Cloverdale Cabana Club property.

12. No gum is allowed. Please make sure that any Band-Aids are securely in place.

13. The following are strictly prohibited:

a. Running
b. Rough Housing
c. Pushing, Dunking, and Splashing
d. Cut-Offs and frayed or torn T-shirts.
e. Inflatable equipment (attached swim aids) for toddlers is acceptable. The toddler must be accompanied by an adult either in the water or at the edge of the pool.
f. Public intoxication

14. The lifeguard is the final authority. They are authorized to remove anyone from the pool for violations of the CCC Rules. For more serious or repeat violations, the lifeguard is authorized to suspend anyone for a period of up to one (1) week. No one may disturb the lifeguard while s/he is on-duty.

15. Smoking is restricted to designated smoking area.

GUEST RULES
1. All guests must pay $4.00 use fee per visit. "After hours" guest fees can be placed in the provided deposit box located at the clubhouse pump room door. Please note we are all on the "Honor System.”
2. Houseguests (anyone staying in a member's home at least two (2) consecutive nights) and adult caregivers will not be charged. To activate this privilege, attach a note to your membership form in the Gatekeeper's Book.
3. Children ages of 17 or younger who are guests must have a written permission note from a responsible adult. Parental permission of minor guest may be verified before pool use is allowed.
4. Guests may be denied access to the pool during such times as paid members fill pool maximum capacity.

NOTE: EVERY MEMBER HAS THE RIGHT AND RESPONSIBILITY TO FOLLOW AND ENFORCE ALL CLOVERDALE CABANA RULES & POLICIES
